Paracetamol please!

I've been on Ibuprofen most days this week due to a persistent migraine, and nothing seems to shift it. So I am going to go to sleep around 9 again, like I did last night and hope to sleep off the bulk of the pain.

Other than that, I have revived my niche nuggets and have worked on completing one of them this week. It would have been finished if I didn't have this headache to contend with.

It should be for sale at some point towards the latter part of next week and I hope to get my report on how to make the most out of them ready by then to ( I recorded it in bed - how cool is taht?)

The printing equipment is already fully installed, but as they delivered the wrong glue strips to use with the book binding machine - we're not going to deliver anything too soon.

Should be ready to roll again some time next week.

I'm not feeling my best tonight so I am going to keep it short.

There are so many of the things that I am involved with right now that I can't tell you about, but I can tell you what I learnt though:

- Do stuff that plays to your strengths. Doing something for the money when you don't enjoy it is a right pain in the neck.

- However, if it is easy work and you can get paid for it straight away - DO it!

- I STILL think that I have to solve all the problems first before I go ahead and implement something, which stops me. I think it is partially a good thing as it helps me avoid problems like having to completely redo a whole site or a whole solution because you decide to change the design or layout of something.

- Sleeping makes problems seem less so and puts out the flames of angry conversation. Lack of sleep has the opposite effect

- which leads me to think that the French don't sleep enough.

night night

Happy St. Patricks Day

I feel I have more right than most to have a celebratory pint on the 17th of March because I used to live in Dublin. Not for a very long time, only about 4 years, but my time there changed my life forever.

That's all I have to say about my progress really this week.

If you have a how to book inside you and you are planning to get it into an ebook format, I will have the capacity to put the book into print and even onto Amazon as a REAL book for you. Of course there are other distribution channels that are available to me as an established publisher too, but Amazon is really the most famous. I also have a trading relationship with ALL the UK book chains if that is of interest.

So that is part of my progress this week, I have secured the equipment that is needed to make my publishing house more flexible and more responsive, plus I will have capacity to take on a few additional authors & printing projects.

And for those of you that have heard a cockney blue arsed fly buzzing around the Midlands, Wales and Dorset - that's half the reason instant- ezine is progressing slower than I would have liked. The other half of the reason is that I got the file formats wrong when I first started putting them together, so I'll be correcting them this weekend.

I've also worked on a couple of niche nuggets that I can sell again.

NOW - on to that pint!

Oh What A Twist! ( Peter?)

I feel my progress will be overshadowed by world events today. There news here are in fairness 50 years old, but it isn’t often the British beat the Americans at anything so 50 years on, to the day this is still news:

"IT WAS MARCH 10TH, 1956 WHEN PETER TWIST BROKE THE 1,000 MILE PER HOUR AIRSPEED BARRIER, HITTING 1,132.13 MILES PER HOUR IN THE FAIREY DELTA 2 RESEARCH AIRCRAFT AT SUSSEX, ENGLAND."

And I thought he lived in Wales! :o)

Joking aside – this week has been a productive one with lots of directed action having been taken. It is currently directed at making money! ( cause the mortgage still needs paying! )

It does seem that I thrive under pressure and I have been piling it on this week, plus other people are now relying on me to complete things to keep projects on track (Hi Gary and hi Ishi).

A word of advice. If you want to get things done REALLY well, make sure someone else PAYS you to complete something on time. It works for me! And I’m scared of Ishi’s Wrath anyway (that sounds like a good book title don’t you think??) so I jump when I am told to!

Joking aside, having Ishi around to keep me honest is making a difference to what I manage to get done – and with Martin around on Skype to give me some input, even when he’s got Kickstart to get out, the direction is working out as well.

So for you ebook authors wanting to be “proper” authors, watch out.
For you contentnugget and nicheology people out there, watch out.
For aweber subscribers out there – keep a watch out!
And for you instant ezine beta testers out there – we’re still working on it and it is coming your way soon!
And for you trainers and … oh never mind I could go on forever – but it is still directed.
I also dedicate at least an hour a day to adding my very own content to my websites and blogs and another hour or two to create my own products.

I am going over to my private forum now to write up my private post – who knows what might happen with my book publishing business – I have negotiated a 20 per cent discount on some new equipment that can propel me with super speed into the realms of a seriously prolific publishing house. One of our competitors publish two new titles a month. With this equipment we can match that if we wanted to – and more!

Where does the time go?

I'm not going to waste your time this week with some of my thoughts.

Frankly, I should be too busy to do this, but the honest truth is that I forgot what day it was this evening and have spent most of the evening in front of the box, finally watching some American Idol on ITV2 before it dawned on me what day it was.

I can not for the life of me remember completely what i have achieved this week, but I know that my action list is growing furhter behind than it should.

My Name is Jon Andersen and I am a pc gameaholic. ( although by that I mean I waste about an hour a day )

the game is a winter olympics one... if I haven't broken the habbit by Sunday the URL is going on the blocked list on my router along with all the other games domains I have come across.

It all started when someone posted about a stupid pingpong thingy game on the Kickstart forum and then the Winter Olympics arrived and someone in Norway decided to celebrate their imminent massive medal haul with a Winter Olympics game.

I am as Cr#p at winning this game as the Norwegians were at winning Gold. ( although I take comfort in that only 3 other nations had more silver and no other nation had more bronze )

As for my progress - it's there. I am learning from a number of people and from the neccessity of managing multiple client that my organisational skills could do with some updating.

There is no way if I did everything that I have on, myself or manually, that I would be able to do it all. Renting other people's time and using the tools to automate where I can is proving to be critical to my ability to stay on top of things.

I have also started to go for a 30 minute walk every morning after dropping Thomas off to Nursery, just to clear the head, listen to a bit of a presentation or to LedZed, AC/DC or Black Sabbath to get into the right sort of positive frame of mind - and it works.

Not only that - I bring my ericsson mobile phone lookalike mp3 recorder and record my ideas and flashes of inspiration as I get them - I recorded 13 of them this morning alone!

( reading Martins Kickstart today, I will put hooks on these ideas, I promise! )

that's it for today - i'm supposed to be in bed already!

There is a private post on my private forum as well by the way where I talk about a new service I am considering offering.
